Cint Exchange training and support guide

Prev Next

The following article outlines important support articles and training videos to train and onboard you to Cint Exchange.

This guide is organized into four key stages of running a project: create, manage, close, and report. Each stage includes a brief description of the key steps and resources, such as a training video and/ or a support site article. We recommend viewing all linked resources to receive detailed step-by-step directions.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your CSM or the Support Team at support@cint.com.

See the Cint Exchange glossary for more information on the terminology.

Create

Create a project

A project is like a folder that can contain multiple target groups (or surveys).

Create a target group

Target groups (or surveys) within the same project should be somehow related. For example, target groups that need to be fielded in multiple countries or subsequent waves of a tracker project should all be located in the same project.

Having related target groups organized in one project allows you to analyze data and make edits at both the project and target group level.

  1. Basic settings

When creating a target group fill in the basic settings such as country, desired completes, and expected IR and LOI. If you are collecting personally identifiable information (PII), make sure you check the box.

See the Create a target group article.

  2. Profiling

Set your target audience. Profiling encompasses the qualifications and quotas of your target group.

Throughout the target group creation, feasibility will update at the top right. If you are on the rate card pricing model, your feasibility will be locked based on the IR and LOI. If you are on dynamic pricing model, we suggest a CPI, but you can adjust this CPI by clicking the CPI and entering a new price. If you need to adjust the business unit of your target group, you can also change this by clicking on the CPI.

See the Target group profiling configuration article.

  3. Advanced

The advanced configuration section allows you to create supply allocation groups, remove suppliers from a group, block suppliers, configure supply allocation percentages, and configure respondent exclusions

See the Target group advanced settings configuration article

  4. Finalize

To finish the setup of your target group,  enter some final details like project manager, study type, and industry.

Live URL and Test URL fields is where you add your external survey link. Every survey link needs to add the RID variable, which we use to track respondents. The “Build URL” button will add the RID variable formatted for most survey platforms, but setup for your survey platform may vary. Your CSM will provide redirects and a survey platform programming guide to help you program your survey.

We recommend testing your survey before moving to the final step of launching your survey.

    Target group finalize configuration article.

Launch

Confirm the target group’s CPI and business unit, before you launch the project.

You can launch now or schedule the launch for a future date/time.

Manage

Manage a target group

Once your launch the target group, the next steps cover how to manage the target group.

  1. Edit profiling or target group details

You can edit profiling, including adjusting profiles or changing completes goal. This page will look very similar to how you set up profiling during target group creation.

Once a target group is launched, some key details, such as business unit, country, and language, are locked in. If you need to make any adjustments, you will need to start a new target group. Fields such as target group names, fielding dates, and survey URLs can be changed.

    See the
    Edit a target group article.

Watch the training video on how to edit a target group

  2. Edit advanced settings

You can adjust supplier allocation, unblock suppliers, use templates, and revert to default allocations.

See the Edit advanced settings article.

Watch the training video on how to manage the advanced settings

  3. View the target group changelog

All changes made to the target group, including automated fielding adjustments, will be shown in the changelog.

    See the
    View target group changelog article.

Manage a project

  1. View project page and statistics

The main project page is your landing page when you log in to the Exchange. Once you have projects in your account, you will be able to view high-level statistics on projects and target groups. You can click into projects and target groups to see more detailed statistics. You will be able to filter your view to see your desired metrics.

    See the
    Projects overview article.

  2. Edit project details

Adjustments to the project name and project manager can be made here. It’s important to have the right project manager assigned as we will reach out to the project manager if an issue with the project arises.

    See the
    Edit project details article.

Close

Close a target group

At any point in fielding, you can change the target group’s status to paused or complete to stop collecting completes. Your target group must be set to complete to reconcile.

Reconcile a target group

  1. View our reconciliation policy

We offer a reconciliation process that allows buyers to remove completes that do not meet quality standards. All buyers are responsible for submitting their own reconciliations. They must have a reason code associated with each individual ID being reversed.

Adjustments must be submitted by the 25th of the month following the date that the initial complete was achieved. For example, completes from the month of June can be adjusted until the 25th of July. The Cint Exchange operates within the Central Time Zone. The end of the 25th takes place at 12:00 AM CST.

    See the
    Reconciliation policy article.

Watch the training video on how to view the reconciliation policy

  2. Submit a reconciliation

Our reconciliation tool lets you reconcile multiple projects at once and provide reasons upfront, helping you bypass additional auditing from our Trust and Safety Team.

The tool will accept .txt or .csv files and must include the target group ID, the specific RID, and the reason code.

    See the
    Submit a reconciliation article.

Report

Download reports

We have a set of reports for deeper insight into your account. You can filter each report to include the information you need such as business unit, project, or target group. You can also filter for specific time periods. Your options will vary by report.

All reports will be emailed to you within 15 minutes of your request. Reports with less data should be delivered in minutes.

Types of reports

  • Completes report is used to track all completed interviews in real-time within a specified date range.

  • Reconciliation eligible RIDS report lists all IDs eligible for reconciliation. RIDs outside the time limit will not appear.

  • Reconciliations status reports provide visibility into all the account surveys that are within the reconciliation timeline as defined in our policy.

  • Respondent analysis report provides respondent-level information such as entry time, supplier, and status. It also provides the answers given on a specific survey to any qualification in the prescreener.

  • Sample bought report provides a summary of all Marketplace and over the counter (OTC) activity for a given accounting period. This report is best used to break down your monthly invoice into project-level costs

  • Termination details report provides insight into each survey’s termination and its reason.
