This article is for creating a new target group; see edit a target group to edit an existing target group.

A target group helps you to organize surveys, providing comprehensive insight when subsequent tracker surveys are launched, or when you need to field a project in multiple countries. Organizing target groups this way, allows you to analyze data and make edits at both the project and target group level.

Please note, once created, target groups cannot be deleted. Instead, you can mark them as pause or complete.

Target groups include information on conversion and incidence rate, length of interview, average cost per interview, and earnings per click per minute.

  • Desired completes: The number of desired completes.

  • Expected LOI: The expected length of interview.

  • Expected IR: The incidence rate.

  • Days in field: The number of days to run the survey.

  • Start date: Defaults to the current date to help provide a better estimate. Note: This accounts for market fluctuations, such as weekends or holidays.

  1. Click advanced to specify start and end time.

  2. Select the this survey collects personally identifiable information (PII) checkbox if your survey collects personally identifiable information (or PII).

  3. Click next to configure your profiling.

To save a target group, you must meet at least one profiling criterion (e.g., age, gender, location). Without this, the save option will remain disabled.

See target group profiling configuration for the next step.
