Supply allocation

Supply groups let you organize your suppliers however you prefer. They work by adding suppliers to a specific ‘bucket’ or ‘group', then assigning the percentage of allocations that group will receive.

  1. Click edit to open advanced settings. The supply allocation tab opens by default.

  4. Confirm your selection and click update.

The selected suppliers will now be in the ‘block’ supply group, and your feasibility estimate will update automatically.

Configuring supply allocation percentages

The number of suppliers in that group is displayed next to the group name, along with the minimum and maximum percentages of the supply pool they can provide for this target group.

Overview of supply groups with percentage sliders for adjustments and group counts.

If all supply groups are set as a minimum of 0% and a maximum of 100%, any one of the groups can provide all participants for this target group or none at all. By configuring the percentages, you can ‘reserve’ a certain volume of respondents for that supply group. This allows you to control the volume of respondents each supply group is permitted to provide.

To adjust the percentages, use the sliding scale to amend the default settings. If your change makes your target group unfeasible, an error message will be shown, suggesting how to amend your settings to make the group feasible.

The sum of the minimum percentages cannot exceed 100%.

See manage advanced settings for more information on managing your blocking suppliers.

Respondent exclusions

Respondent exclusions allow you to configure whether respondents can be included in the upcoming target group. You can exclude respondents using their Respondent ID (RSID) or by automatically excluding respondents who have already submitted a complete within your current project’s target groups.

Example: If you have two target groups in your project, A and B, and are creating a third target group C, you can ensure that any participant who submitted a complete within target groups A and B, will not be able to submit a complete in target group C.

Respondent exclusions put you in control of who can participate in your target groups and automatically prevent duplicate completes, increasing efficiency, enhancing targeting, improving respondent data accuracy, and improving the ROI of your project.
