Social measurement
What is social measurement?
It is a measurement of the brand lift for ads running on social platforms in Lucid Measurement. This gives marketers access to an always-on measurement product with an unbiased, integrated view of social, TV, and digital channels and how they drive brand lift, to inform in-flight or post-flight optimization. Cost-effective pricing enables marketers to measure brand lift more often, including multiple KPIs, which traditionally has been expensive and difficult to set up.
Who is social measurement for?
Anyone looking to understand the impact of their branding campaigns running on social platforms. If you are already using Lucid Measurement, but are not measuring your social buys with us, reach out today! We encourage current Lucid Measurement customers to measure their social buys alongside linear TV, connected TV, and digital.
Where is social measurement currently available?
You can measure the brand lift of your social advertising in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
How does social measurement benefit me and my customers?
In an era where a patchwork of brand lift studies on social platforms with differing, non-comparable methodologies has been needed to gauge campaign effectiveness, Lucid Measurement leverages a multi-step approach to verify your consumers' online behavior through our global research platform and a robust opportunity-to-see survey methodology to allow you to measure the impact of your campaigns on social platforms.
The inclusion of social in Lucid Measurement enables you to get a holistic view of campaign brand lift performance by measuring social alongside digital, linear TV, and connected TV channels in one dynamic dashboard.
How is social brand-lift measurement calculated or defined?
Cint uses an “always-on” modeling survey to collect responses that focus on general social media consumption. This “social” response data is used in addition to 20+ other profile features to score each respondent based on the likelihood that they were exposed to any ad on a social platform. These scores are used to inform survey recruitment for social-exposed and control surveys, which are essential to calculating brand lift.
Once a Lucid Measurement study has been launched, every exposed and control respondent answers social “Opportunity-To-See” questions that include brand-specific responses. Those answers, in conjunction with the results of the modeling survey, are used to calculate cross-platform and social brand lift.
How does this approach differ from competitors?
Unlike competitors, Cint offers seamless daily cross-screen reporting using a sophisticated methodology that incorporates general social media consumption habits of consumers with study-specific opportunity-to-see questions to provide you with scalable and timely brand lift insights across platforms all in one dashboard with the goal to optimize campaign performance across your media channels in-flight.
What features does social measurement include?
Data: Survey response data from the modeling surveys across respondents in our research platform is collected and used to inform social universe scoring. The campaign survey response data, the survey used to carry out your brand lift study, is used in conjunction with social universe scoring from the modeling surveys to produce brand lift results for social. Social brand lift is calculated using a combination of modeling and campaign survey data to assess the channel's brand lift at an aggregate level.
Questions/KPIs: There are four additional social profiler questions and one additional social in-target brand question, which will be asked as a part of all social measurement surveys.
Reporting and optimization: Social measurement survey results will be included on the overview page as part of brand lift results for:
Overview of KPIs
Brand lift by age and gender
Brand lift by media channel
Cross-platform brand lift
Filtering: Social is available as a "Study Channel” filter. Results can be filtered to social only
Exports: Social results will be included in the raw data CSV, Excel summary and PowerPoint report
How often is the dashboard data refreshed?
The product refreshes with newly available data daily at 3:00 UTC.
Can only my social ads be measured?
All campaigns with social measurement must also include trackable digital media.
Can individual social platforms be measured?
No, social will be reported as a single channel in aggregate only. Individual platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) cannot be measured separately. We are actively exploring partnerships to integrate social data into our offering.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is a tiered structure based on the number of social impressions per campaign. Please contact your account manager or use the contact form here to inquire.
How long does it take to implement?
Setting up a brand lift study with Lucid Measurement takes 5-7 business days.
How many impressions are needed for feasibility?
At least 2 million estimated social impressions are required for a study that includes social measurement. Anything below the minimum required impressions may not provide valuable results.
