Campaign tracking tag
The first step to set up a Lucid Measurement study is to implement Cint's tracking tag (pixel). This tracking pixel is configurable to collect data on the impression event you wish to see displayed in the dashboard. The media data parameters supported by the pixel include:
Site
Placement
Creative
Mobile advertising ID (MAID)
Custom variables (up to 5)
The tracking tag is to be implemented in the ad server(s) that is being used to deliver the campaign media and has approved Cint as a measurement partner. The list of approved ad servers can be found here: pixel tagging and tracking checklist
Cint recommends implementing the tracking tag before the survey launch to ensure impression data is tracked properly. To confirm impression delivery, Cint requires that ad server delivery reports be set up for automated daily delivery to deliveryreports@cint.com. Please work with your Project Success Manager to ensure the reports include all necessary fields for proper monitoring.
See tracking tag 101 for more information.
Campaign tracking by creative
The first step to set up TV tracking for a Lucid Measurement study is to upload the required creative IDs. Please work with your Project Success Manager to ensure that the correct creative IDs are added for TV campaign tracking.
Survey questionnaire
Lucid Measurement supports a wide variety of standard brand key performance indicators (KPIs). For your convenience, a questionnaire template is available to help you build your survey. All baseline questions are required, and grid questions are supported.
See survey template for more information.
The brand KPIs available in the template are:
Ad recall
Brand awareness
Brand attributes
Brand favorability
Brand consideration
Brand recommendation
Message association
Message awareness
Purchase intent
See KPI definitions for more information on available KPIs.
If you have any brand KPIs not listed here, they can still be added to your survey.
In order for lift calculation and proper rendering in the charts, the question format for the brand KPIs must be either single-punch or multi-select. If you require open-ended to be included in your survey, responses to those questions will be available in the raw data export, but not available for lift calculation in the charts.
Please reach out to your representative for a copy of the questionnaire template.
Baseline questions
Important: The following baseline questions are always included and cannot be modified.
Cint requires the inclusion of behavioral baseline questions in the Lucid Measurement methodology. These questions gather information about the survey respondents' existing behaviors and are used to minimize any pre-existing differences between the study’s exposed and control groups. By doing this, the lift results can be confidently attributed to ad exposure rather than any other factors.
Cint currently has four baseline questions:
Category usage
Usage history
Past media exposure
Media consumption
See baseline questions for more information.
For any Lucid Measurement study that includes linear TV, there are eight media consumption baseline questions that are automatically included in the campaign survey that cover the following information:
TV brand ownership
Genre and network consumption
Day of week, hours per day and time of day consumption
How you watch TV and device usage
See linear tv baseline questions for more information.
For any Lucid Measurement campaign that includes social, there are always four general social opportunity-to-see (OTS) questions and one brand-specific social OTS question, their responses are used to assess if they were highly likely or unlikely exposed to a social ad.
Social media platforms
Social media usage
Social media interests
Social media exposure
Past media exposure: social
