Profiling questions

What are profiling questions?

The profile library hosts an exhaustive list of global (Cint-created) and account-level (designed by you) profiling questions that are used to qualify respondents. They are seen by the respondents prior to taking the survey, as part of the qualification process, and by suppliers so that they can send relevant traffic to the survey.

The global profiling questions are simple and have higher feasibility than account-level questions, which tend to be more complex and specific.

What can I use the search and apply profiling questions feature for?

By searching for and applying already-existing profiling questions to your target group, you can:

  • Decrease time to setup and increase efficiency insights by reusing profiling questions across target groups.

  • Increase accuracy by selecting questions that best meet research needs.

How can I add profiling questions to my target group?

To search and add profiling questions to your target group:

  1. Create or edit a target group.

  2. Populate basic settings.

  3. Navigate to the profiling tab and click add profiling.

A drawer will open where you can search for profiling questions and filter them by categories and type (global or account-level).

  4. Select the profile you’d like to apply to your target group.

  5. Click add profile in the right corner of the screen.

Once your profile is applied, you can interlock it and group conditions to finalize your target group profiling requirements.

Can I create and add my profiling questions?

No. In this version of the feature creating your profiling questions is not available. Please contact your account team to find a global question that best suits your requirements or to request a new account-level question be created and added to your account.

Will new questions be added to global templates?

The profile library will be updated with new questions based on the requests and feedback we receive from our customers. This will ensure we are following the best research practices and aligning with our suppliers’ requirements.

Can I pass profiling questions (e.g., age, gender) into my survey URL to avoid duplication?

Yes. You can add variables to your survey link so that profiling details already collected in Cint Exchange do not need to be asked again.

For example, if you want to add an age question to the survey URL on the Cint Exchange:

E.g., Survey URL: https://www.google.com/?RID=[%RID%]

For adding an age question, you will have to add: &Age=[%Age%]

The final URL will be: https://www.google.com/?RID=[%RID%]&Age=[%Age%]

Can I add custom screening questions to my target group?

Custom qualifications (or account-level questions) are not directly supported within the platform. However, in urgent cases, our support team can assist in creating them on your behalf.
