Activation emails

What are activation emails?

Activation emails are sent to panelists to remind them to participate in surveys.

Cint Engage has an adaptive email activation system that sends survey invitations at a configurable pace. Panel owners can decide how often panelists are contacted based on their survey qualifications and the demand for their insights.

This provides panel owners with control over how often panelists are contacted and the flexibility to change the email frequency at any time. It also drives open and click-through rates with engaging, timely, and targeted emails that lead to higher survey conversion rates. Panel owners also benefit from reduced panelist email fatigue and lower unsubscribe rates, promoting a healthy, engaged panel and further increasing conversion rates.

What is a low-demand and high-demand panelist?

High-demand panelists with more expected available surveys receive more frequent reminders, while low-demand panelists receive fewer.

To determine panelists' demand for insights, the adaptive email system considers factors such as country, age, and gender. It then uses this information to classify a panelist as low-demand or high-demand.

Where do panel owners manage activation email cadence?

  1. Access the desired panel in one of two ways:

  2. Select the desired company from the companies page. The panels page displays.

  3. Select the panel management dropdown in the main menu, and select panels.

  4. Click on the desired panel you want to configure. The settings page displays.

  5. Scroll down to the activation email cadence section.

From here, you can turn the activation system on or off using the toggle.

To choose the email frequency for your panel:

    1. Turn the toggle on and from the dropdown menu.

    2. Select how often high-demand and low-demand panelists should be contacted. You will need to select an email cadence for both high-demand and low-demand panelists.

  6. Click save.

See Engage panel settings configuration for more information on panel settings.

What is the available email cadence for each panelist type?

Available cadences for high-demand panelists:

  • Every week

  • Every 2 weeks

  • Every 3 weeks

Available cadences for low-demand panelists:

The cadence set for low-demand panelists needs to be equal to or greater than the cadence set for high-demand panelists.

Switching the email activation system off will stop sending all activation emails to panelists.
