Launching a study

Prev Next

Prior to launching a study in the Lucid Marketplace, it is important to check essential study details to ensure accuracy.

Details page

Confirm the study links and the redirects are correct. For more information on redirects, please email our support team at support@cint.com.

If using verify callback, ensure that the RISN=[%RSFN%] redirect is added to the study link.

If not using verify callback, be sure to uncheck the verify callback box on the security settings tab of the security page. For more information on verify callback, visit security settings: study level.

Check the survey CPI to ensure accuracy. Remember, this is the price per interview offered for respondents who successfully complete the study.

If the study is a clone or part of a group of studies, be sure the study is included in a survey group with the other studies.

See creating a survey group for more information.

Qualifications page

Navigate to the qualifications page to ensure that the proper targeting is in place.

See qualifications and targeting for more information.

Quotas page

Ensure that the total quota is set to the number of completes needed after the survey launch. If applicable, double-check that all subquotas are accurate. See quotas for more information. For high-incidence audiences or click-balanced studies, update quota calculation type to prescreens and click save.

See advanced quota management for more information.

Allocations page

Navigate to the allocations page to ensure supplier allocations are set up properly.

See reserving allocations and setting maximum completes for more information.

After checking supplier allocations, best practice is to test every study prior to launch. Testing a study is the most important step to take prior to launch.

Click the test survey button at the top right. Select "end-to-end" to test with the marketplace prescreener or select client survey to jump directly into the client-side study.

It is best practice to test end-to-end if the marketplace prescreener has any termination points or logic built into it. Test the study for both a complete and a terminate on the client side to ensure that the redirects are set up properly.

If the sum-stat (test summary) page during testing displays an overquota message, be sure that there is a value higher than zero on the quotas page. Reference the images and instructions above in the quotas section.

Reports page

View the reports page to ensure that the test completes registered in the marketplace. As a reminder, a complete is registered as client response status code 10. If the marketplace registered a client response status code other than 10, the study is not ready to launch.

See survey reporting page: components and guide for more information on the data analysis report.

Common reasons why the marketplace would not register client response status code 10:

  • Client response status code 1 signals an “in screener/drop,” which could be a sign that the RID redirect is incorrect. Verify that **RID=[%RID]** is included in the study link on the details page. Also, double check that the proper redirects are setup on the client side.

See marketplace redirects for more information on redirect.

  • Client response status code 20 signals a terminate on the client side. Double check all termination points on the client side.

  • Client response status code 35 or 135 signal respondent did not come back with the expected encryption variable, which could indicate incorrect redirects are in place while using link encryption methods. Check client-side redirects. Test the client-side study for a complete to confirm no setup errors exist.

  • Client response status code 137 signals that verify callback is checked on the details page but RISN=[%RSFN%] is not included in the survey link. If implementing verify callback, be sure to add the RISN redirect. If not, uncheck the box and test again for a complete.

See client response codes for a full list of client response status codes.

Important:Do not launch a study until the study has been successfully tested for a complete.

If the complete registered in the data analysis, congratulations - the study is ready to be launched!

Launching the study

Navigate to the details page, change the status to live and click save.

rtaImage.jpg

Confirm that all launch steps have been completed. A red box with an exclamation point will appear for steps that have not been completed.

Once all steps are complete, click the blue launch button.

Monitor the manage dashboard

Review the manage dashboard of live surveys for high drop rates, low conversion, or slowing traffic. For more suggestions on how to resolve issues during fielding, see troubleshooting a study. Surveys that do not perform or are idle of respondents may be automatically paused until reviewed by the project manager. Reach out to your **CSM** if you have any questions.

Congratulations on launching the study!
