Creating a survey group

A survey group helps prevent duplicate responses across multiple surveys in the Marketplace.

You can assign specific surveys to a group to prevent the same respondent from taking a survey more than once. When surveys are added to a group, duplicate responses are checked based on cookie, IP address, and panelist ID (PID).

Before using survey groups, make sure that unique IP address and/or unique PID is selected on the security settings: study level page. survey groups do not de-duplicate based on Lucid survey protection services or other security metrics.

Add a new survey group

  1. Select the surveys dropdown menu, and select survey groups.

  2. Click add survey group.

  3. Enter a group name.

  4. Enter a description. this is optional and will display on the survey groups page.

  5. Set the status to active.

  6. Click save.

Add a survey to a survey group

After you create a survey group, you can begin to add any surveys to that group. Up to ten surveys can be added at once, either by survey ID or predictive text search.  While the number of surveys that can be added at one time is limited to 10, there is no limit to the number of surveys a group can contain.

There are two ways to add a survey to a group:

Within a survey:

  1. Select a survey, then go to the details page.

  2. In the project settings section, search for the group in survey groups.

  3. Click save.

Within a survey group:

  1. Select the surveys dropdown menu, and select survey groups.

  2. Search for the survey group.

  3. Click the desired name from the results. select up to 10 surveys to add to the group if desired.

  4. Click save.
