Cint survey protection services terminations

Prev Next

Cint offers several protections to ensure that respondents who attempt a survey on the Cint Exchange (formerly known as Lucid Marketplace) are non-fraudulent and unique. Definitions on these checks are provided below.

For information on how to identify and handle respondents terminated for cint survey protection services, please see the article named “cint's security and quality measures” found in the security documentation section of the Cint Supplier Portal. If you do not have access to the supplier portal, please contact a member of your account team to have your login activated.

Invalid traffic

Tracks and identifies invalid traffic (also known as suspicious or fraudulent activity), on entering the Cint Exchange. This is a real-time check for any potential fraudulent respondents. Respondents that meet this status will be referenced with Marketplace response codes- code 32.

GeoIP check

GeoIP check will validate if the IP address of a respondent is local to the country-language of the survey they are attempting. This check prohibits respondents from taking surveys that are not targeted to their location. Respondents that meet this status will be referenced with Marketplace response codes - code 37.

Respondent deny list

Cint has developed a respondent deny list, informed by a proprietary historical quality check, to block low-quality respondents. These respondents are added to the deny list for surpassing defined behavioral thresholds related to things like reconciliations, link manipulation, or entry to excessive country-languages. Respondents that meet this status will be referenced with Marketplace response codes - code 238.

Invalid browser

Cint has developed the ability to block users from entering the Cint Exchange from a browser(s) that are linked to high levels of fraud activity. Respondents that meet this status will be referenced with Marketplace response codes - code 240.

Respondent threshold limit

Limits the number of surveys a respondent can complete on an hourly or daily basis. Respondents that meet this status will be referenced with Marketplace response codes - code 241.

Respondent quality score terminations

Terminates respondents based on the cint quality score model which predicts fraud based on a history of quality and fraud issues including straight-lining, speeding, ghost completes, inappropriate open ends, mismatched responses, and duplicate responses. Respondents terminated for exceeding the quality score threshold limit will be assigned the Marketplace response codes - code 242.

Marketplace signature check

Termination based on respondents attempting to bypass security checks during the pre-survey workflow. Respondents terminated for failing the security check will be assigned the Marketplace response codes - code 243.
