Interlocked quotas
What are interlocked quotas?
Interlocked quotas allow you to combine quotas. This improves the precision of audience targeting by allowing you to assign respondent counts to combinations of conditions across multiple profiles in a target group.
For example, if you are targeting based on Gender and Ethnicity, you can set quotas for specific profiles such as “Japanese Male” and “Japanese Female” to ensure each combination has a defined respondent count.
What is the quota optimizer?
Quota optimizer is an integrated feature within the Cint Exchange. It recommends the respondent count per interlocked profile combination based on the available panels and the number of respondents willing to take the survey for each profiling setting. The Quota optimizer is dynamic and shows the optimal respondent count at that moment.
What is panel balance and how does it work?
Panel balance is an integrated functionality within the Cint Exchange. It recommends quotas percentages based on available panels and the number of respondents willing to take the survey for each profiling setting. The panel balance is dynamic and shows the most optimal quota percentages at that moment.
How do I configure interlock quotas?
Create a target group.
Complete the basic settings.
Open the Profiling tab and add profile information or use one of the pre-made templates
Hover over the profile you want to interlock.
Click the three dot menus and select Interlock quotas.

The Interlock Quotas page displays.
Check the boxes next to the profiles you want to interlock.

Click on the conditions you have interlocked to view the respondent counts. Update them if desired.
From here, you can define your respondent count for each combination of profile conditions or use the counts pre-populated by the Quota Optimizer.

Your feasibility estimate will be dynamically configured for each interlocked group.
