Feasibility

What is feasibility?

Feasibility is a feature within Cint Exchange used to assess whether you can reach your target group and how much it is going to cost. This is critical to the success of your project.

The Cint Exchange feasibility uses proprietary AI algorithms and machine learning techniques that consider your target group's criteria to accurately forecast the number and cost of completes that can be delivered once your target group launches, through Cint’s programmatic marketplace. The prediction considers who you want to target, at what time and displays this information in real time.

What are the benefits of Cint’s proprietary feasibility algorithm?

Our feasibility algorithm will empower you to:

  • Gain confidence: access a realistic forecast of available completes from your target audience and their cost and make informed launch decisions every time.

  • Increase control: easily adjust your target group settings to achieve the optimal feasibility and cost for your target group.

  • Decrease time to insight: understand the feasibility of your target group instantly and skip the wait for your bid information.

  • Better budget management: understand the expected cost of your target group in real time whilst ensuring a price that is attractive to suppliers.

How does feasibility work?

Survey feasibility details including goals, expected rates, and study type information.

Once you set your target audience, time, and price, Cint’s feasibility algorithm uses several data points—in addition to demand and supply for that target group—to forecast how many completes can be achieved and at what cost.

For example: This process is similar to booking a plane ticket. When you search for 2 premium seats to Mexico City on 24 July 2025 at 10.00am, the plane ticket search results you receive will take into account the supply and the demand for premium seats on planes flying on that date to Mexico City and give you a price for those seats.

Model performance is assessed and updated regularly to be as accurate as possible as more data becomes available. Our sources include previously completed target groups data and respondent profiling and survey completion information.

Since the algorithm output relies on high quality training data, the accuracy of our displayed feasibility estimates will continue to improve over time as more data becomes available.

How can I check the feasibility of a project?

After you enter the basic details (country, language, completes goal, LOI, IR, and days in the field), the feasibility will automatically display in the top-right corner of your screen. You can also request a feasibility check from our Bidding team through your CSM or the Support team.

Feasibility is only an estimate and may change due to dynamic factors within the Cint Exchange, such as competition from other buyers or fluctuations in supply.

Can I view a breakdown of the range of completes that can be achieved?

Feasibility score of 94 indicates high likelihood of success based on current setup.

Yes, by clicking on the arrow next to your feasibility estimate, a modal will be displayed with a breakdown of how many completes can be achieved based on your target group criteria.

How can I optimize the feasibility of my target group?

Summary of project feasibility with suggestions and potential problem areas listed.

If your feasibility estimate shows a range of available completes, the feasibility modal will display suggestions for improving feasibility, helping you to achieve the required completes.

What does N/A feasibility mean?

Feasibility not available for this country; launching the Target Group is still possible.

On rare occasions, you may find that our feasibility estimate is not available. This is typically caused by insufficient data for that specific target group to make a forecast (it might be a new profile that has not previously been targeted). This is specifically different from forecasting zero feasibility, where we believe that you are unlikely to obtain a sample for this target group.

If the issue persists, please contact Cint’s support team.

What target group requirements are considered to estimate feasibility?

As a general rule, the more general your target group requirements, the easier it is to fill. The more complex, or niche requirements, may have less people available which could lead to lower feasibility and a higher CPI.

The feasibility model is highly complex. It considers market forces (demand, supply) and a range of dynamic factors to make a prediction. The algorithm adapts in near real-time and provides an accurate forecast of the target group’s goals.

Here are some of the additional factors the algorithm considers to provide an estimate:

  • Country-language, number of desired completes, LOI, CPI, IR, days in field

  • Advanced basic settings such as the day of the week and time of day

  • Individual qualifications and their relationship to each other such as interlocked quotas

  • Supply allocation settings

  • Respondent exclusions settings

  • Automated fielding settings

By amending any of these settings, you will receive an updated feasibility forecast.

Why can I see a range of potentially available completes?

Feasibility details for a survey including goals, expected rates, and study type.

The forecasted feasibility range is provided so that you can understand the low and high end of the number of completes you may receive based on your criteria.

By providing a range of the completes that can be delivered, we provide an accurate, transparent, and up-to-date estimate of the completes we can confidently deliver under the recent marketplace conditions. This will enable you to amend your target group requirements to achieve the required feasibility needed for your project.

How can I troubleshoot a feasibility estimate?

The feasibility estimate is dynamic. This means that as you change your target group settings, a new feasibility estimate is generated.

The Cint Exchange feasibility interface is designed to be interactive by providing immediate feedback on how any changes made to your target group settings affect the feasibility estimate and providing helpful tips to help you achieve the required completes.

Here are the target group settings you may consider to increase feasibility estimates:

  • Ensure you are targeting the correct country, language, time in field, timezone, start time and date, and expand these variables if you can.

  • Amend the target age group or the number of interlocked conditions.

  • Review your blocked suppliers and allocations—the more suppliers we can source participants from, the better feasibility can be expected.

  • Reduce the number of excluded participants can increase the pool of potential respondents and increase your feasibility forecast.

  • Expand pacing automation and industry lockout variables may increase a feasibility forecast.

  • Use the intelligent calendar to see if there is a better time and date that you could run this study

If the feasibility estimate issue persists, please contact Cint’s support team.

Is a feasibility of zero possible?

image3.png

On rare occasions, you may find that our feasibility estimate is zero. This may be caused by:

  • Targeting a new market, which does not have enough data available to reliably estimate available supply

  • A niche target group with limited supply or ‘impossible’ profiling combinations

  • A change in data we have received from our supply partners

If your feasibility estimate is zero, we recommend amending your targeting settings so you can access a wider pool of potential participants. If the issue persists, please contact Cint’s support team.

Should I check feasibility before launching my target group?

Yes, we recommend that you always check the feasibility for your target group before launching, so you can access the most up-to-date feasibility information.

The feasibility estimate is not a guarantee and can change based on the dynamic behavior within the Cint Exchange such as competition from other buyers or fluctuations in supply.

This enables you to amend relevant settings should the estimated feasibility have changed since the target group was drafted and help ensure that you can achieve the required number of completes on time.
