Duplicating target groups FAQ

You can duplicate target groups within the same project or into another existing project. Duplicating target groups helps improve workflow efficiency and decrease time to insights.

You can use this feature to:

• Set up and launch target groups that are identical or require minor adjustments.

• Create multi-country workflows by setting up a target group and duplicating it for each country-language you require.

You can duplicate a target group at any stage of it being set up as a draft version. If you have a live or already-completed target group, it will be duplicated into a draft status.

You cannot duplicate target groups that have been launched or completed.

There are two ways to duplicate a target group:

• From the target group creation page

• From the project management page

Duplicating from a target group creation page

1. Create a target group.

2. Populate fields you want to duplicate to a new target group.

3. Save your target group as draft

4. Click on the three dots icon in the top menu.

   

5. Select which project you want to add your duplicate target group to.

   

Your target group will be automatically duplicated into the selected project

Duplicating from the project management page

Each project features its own project management page where you can view and efficiently manage all the target groups for the project. To find this page:

1. Open the project from which you’d like to duplicate a target group

2. Check the box next to the target group you’d like to duplicate

   

3. Select which project you want to add your duplicate target group using the menu that has appeared at the bottom of the screen.

   

Your target group will be automatically duplicated into the selected project.

Yes, you can duplicate multiple target groups into a project from the project management page.

To do so, follow the steps above which describe how to duplicate target groups from the project management page and simply select all the target groups you want to duplicate.

No, if the target group is duplicated in the new project, the completed respondents from the previous target group will not be excluded from the new project. But if the target group is duplicated in the same project, the completed respondents will be excluded from all the target groups.
