Set up the Lucid pixel as an event tag
Formerly known as: DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM)
Current name of the ad server: Campaign Manager 360
Apply the Lucid universal tag
The Lucid universal tag will apply to media that is uploaded directly to Campaign Manager (CM). This is called an impression event tag in CM.
Open the campaign properties: All campaigns > Select your campaign > Properties.
Open the event tags section.
Select the campaign tags view under impression event tags.
Select New impression event tag...
Name: Insert Lucid tag name. This is only visible to your team in CM.
Application: Apply automatically to enable the tag on the entire campaign. If only specific media in the campaign is part of the Lucid study, apply manually can be used. See section below for more information on this.
Enabled: Yes
Tag type: image
Tag URL: Insert tag here. Use the URL version, not the HTML version.
Site filter: No filter
Select save.
The tag appears as an Applied tag in the event tags section under impression event tags.
If a Lucid study is inclusive of multiple CM campaigns, the same tag will need to be applied to each relevant CM campaign.
See Google’s documentation on event tags or the Character limit consideration for more information.

Applying the event tag to an ad
The Lucid universal tag can be manually applied and removed if needed. This is useful if:
Only certain placements are intended to be tracked and included in the Lucid study.
Specific placements are being tracked with a hard-coded pixel.
Specific placements cannot be tracked with the Lucid universal tag.
To adjust at the ad level:
Select the ad to change the event tag status.
Navigate to the ad properties.
Open the impression event tags section.
Select the checkbox next to the Lucid tag: always apply or never apply.
Select save. The ad will now have the tag applied or removed.
DV360 and CM integration
If the DV360 and CM integration is being used and the creative is uploaded to CM, a Lucid universal tag with CM macros will need to be applied in CM.
Tracking site-served 1x1 impression tags
If the campaign includes site-served media with 1x1 impression trackers in CM, hardcoded Lucid 1x1 pixels will be needed. These hardcoded Lucid pixels are sent to the publisher serving the media. They will implement alongside the CM 1x1 impression tags.
Lucid will create the tags after filling out a site-served template:
Lucid confirms site-served media is part of the campaign.
The site-served pixel template is completed.
Lucid sends the completed 1x1 pixels back to the team.
The team sends the Lucid 1x1 pixels to the publisher(s) for implementation alongside the corresponding CM 1x1 impression tags.
Reporting setup
To enable Lucid to accurately monitor the campaign tracking, set up a onetime automated delivery report. This report functions as an impression discrepancy troubleshooting tool.
This outlines the report setup and cadence. It is not a request for a login or general reporting access to your ad server.
