Creating a new survey

Prev Next

The Lucid Marketplace interface offers a quick and easy way to create a new survey.

Best practice is to check feasibility and create the survey in the reach tool. See feasibility & price estimation tool: reach FAQ for more information.

  1. Select the create survey button to create a new survey.image.png

  2. Enter the basic survey information, including name, number of completes, country/language, and target audience.

Marketplace defaults to census representation, but "none" is also an option if you want to target the general population. Additional target audiences are available, varying per selected country/language. It is recommended to enable fielding assistant.image.png

This feature automatically adjusts CPI, monitors incoming respondent flow, and controls the pace of responses to your surveys. Simply select the goal that best suits your survey, enable fielding assistant, and it will automatically adjust your survey in flight to ensure it fills successfully and on budget. Fielding assistant automates what was once a very manual process and helps avoid over quotas. For more information see, using the fielding assistant.

  1. Click create survey when finished. The survey is created, including applicable qualifications and quotas (if a target audience was selected).

Details

The details page automatically displays. It includes expected incidence rate, expected completion LOI, study type, survey CPI, and live and test URLs.

See survey details page for more information.

Qualifications

The qualifications page contains all targeting information. If the survey was built in reach, any qualifications included in the estimate will be included on this page. If the study was created using the "survey" button, applicable qualifications for the selected target audience will be added automatically. To add additional qualifications, click the "add qualifications" button.

For more information on qualifications, visit standard qualifications and qualifications and targeting for more information.

Quotas

The quotas page contains all quotas for the study. Best practice is to include all client-side quotas whenever possible. If the study was created using the reach tools, all quotas created in the estimate will be applied to the study. If the study was created using the create survey button, national representation quotas will be automatically built out if the census representation template was selected.

To add additional quotas, click the add survey quota button.

For more information on quotas, visit quotas and advanced quota management. There is a limit of 100 quotas per survey.

Allocations

The allocations page contains all supplier allocations for the study, including marketplace and external sources (OTC transactions). Building a blend, setting supplier allocations and allowances, as well as blocking suppliers can be done on this page. Testing a study, an essential step prior to study launch, can also be accomplished on this page.

For more information on allocations, visit selecting sample sources: allocation page overview.

Reports

The reports page contains survey survey-level data including reports on study entrants, financial reports, and respondent answer reports. Click the get reports button to download the reports.

See data analysis report for more information on accessing and downloading the report.

Once finished setting up the details, qualifications, quotas, and allocations pages, the study is ready for testing and launch.
