Reach 2.0

What is Reach 2.0?

Reach 2.0 is the newest version of **Lucid**’s feasibility tool; it enables buyers to understand if their survey can field successfully, given parameters such as time in field, length of interview, cost per interview, and incidence rate. It also will update instantly as the buyer adjusts these parameters and will suggest a cost per interview that will lead to a successful result.

Who has access to Reach 2.0?

Reach is available to all software buyers in the **Lucid Marketplace** now. Simply click “bid” from the header to get started. Reach is also available to all **API** buyers.

What’s new and improved in Reach 2.0?

  • It is now accessible within the **Lucid Marketplace** under “Bid.” You don’t need to navigate to https://reach.samplicio.us/ anymore.

  • Dynamic, real-time feasibility suggestions based on a few survey details

  • Visual representation of the whole survey prediction including individual qualifications

  • Automated pricing suggestions to support the required respondents

  • New audience templates, including parents, **HR** decision maker, **IT** decision maker, and minors (contacted through parents)

  • Offers more flexibility by displaying ranges for possible completes and prices

What countries can I use Reach 2.0 in?

Reach 2.0 supports work in most countries.

To confirm that Reach 2.0 supports your exact country/language specifications:
1. Log into the **Lucid Marketplace**.
2. Click the bid tab.
3. View the country **dropdown**.
4. Verify the language in the language **dropdown**.

Are there any audiences that I should not use Reach 2.0 for?

Reach does not support qualifications where the results would be specific to your buyer account e.g. Recontacts.

Reach works better in certain areas versus others. Reach needs a certain amount of data to make an accurate prediction. Reach weighs data more heavily based on recency. How far it looks back is dependent on the amount of data it can retrieve. So, if there’s a lot of data, then the recency of the data will be greater and the accuracy higher. Where there’s not much data, the look back time will be greater and the accuracy will be lower.

Are the estimates using my supply template, or does this assume open marketplace allocation?

Reach assumes that you are filling a one off, ad hoc survey with no limits on your available audience (e.g. survey groups, restrictive allocations etc.) or additions to that audience using Over The Counter completes. As such, Reach is not currently suitable for predictions on trackers or wave studies where you may need to use survey groups to prevent previous respondents from taking your survey.

How do I share or save bids?

You can download a **CSV** of the bid for your records. You can also save the link using the share icon, and copy it somewhere for later.

What do the colors in the bar represent?

  • Green: This means the bottom of the completes estimate is above the number of completes you are asking for. It is very likely that your survey will work.

  • Yellow: This means the number of completes you are asking for is within the scope of the estimate. You might get all your completes but don't be surprised if you fall a little short.

  • Red: This means the number of completes you are asking for is above the top of our estimate, and we don't think these survey specs will fill. You should either reduce the number of respondents you're asking for or modify your survey (higher price, shorter, improve **IR**, different quals, all sorts)

Why is there no longer access to classic Reach?

We are streamlining and modernizing our **platform** and workflows. Supporting multiple workflows to get to the same result takes resources. Reach 2.0 includes all the functionality of classic Reach and uses machine learning and **AI** to provide more accurate feasibility than ever.
