Reconciliation Audits FAQ

Lucid offers a reconciliation process (reconciliation statuses report) that allows buyers to remove completes that do not meet quality standards. These reconciliations are routinely audited to ensure Marketplace health, providing greater clarity into the reasons buyers are reconciling and gathering supplier insights.

How do reconciliation audits work?

When a reconciliation is submitted, it is subject to reconciliation audits. If a reconciliation is audited, an auto-generated email will be sent to the project manager with the survey number and the Response IDs (RID) that were reconciled, asking for more detail on the reason for the reconciliation. The email specifies a time frame for completing the form.

The additional detail is reviewed to ensure that the reasons for reconciliation are valid. Lucid reserves the right to request supporting documentation for reconciliations and may overturn any reconciliation that does not have a valid reason submitted within the specified time frame.

What should a project manager do if they receive a reconciliation audit email?

Review the email closely. If the email includes a form, it is imperative that the form be completed with the requested information within the specified time frame. If the email is informing you of an automated action by the system, no reply is necessary.

Why does Lucid conduct reconciliation audits?

Data quality is essential to delivering the highest-quality results for market researchers and businesses seeking the most relevant insights. Reconciliation audits help improve the health of the Lucid Marketplace by understanding the reasons behind reconciliations. This information is shared with suppliers, who analyze this panelist feedback to ensure high-quality responses. Reconciliation audits also allow Lucid to identify potential security or training improvements, thereby securing the ecosystem and ensuring it is a safe place to transact.

The Lucid team may also audit consistent, excessive reconciliations. Buyers may receive an email with relevant information and the opportunity to improve their reconciliation rate within a given time window. However, Lucid reserves the right to suspend a buyer's ability to reconcile for a period following failure to improve such reconciliation rates.
