What is "Respondent Activity Exclusions" (RAE)?

RAE is a new capability under the existing Respondent Exclusions feature. Respondent Activity Exclusions prevent respondents who have already participated in one project or target group from being re-invited into related work in other projects.

Within Respondent Activity Exclusions you can:

  • Exclude projects — excludes whole projects, and all target groups within them.

  • Exclude target groups — excludes specific target groups across projects.

Is Respondent Activity Exclusions available in the UI?

No. RAE is API-documentation terminology only. In the UI and external communications, these same capabilities are referred to under the broader "Respondent Exclusions" umbrella term, not as RAE.

What can buyers do with Respondent Activity Exclusions?

Instead of manually uploading large ID lists every time, buyers can now:

  • Exclude whole projects (which automatically excludes all target groups within them), and/or

  • Exclude specific target groups across projects

This ensures respondents who already completed those studies are dynamically blocked from entering new, related surveys — without manual list management.

How are exclusions applied?

Exclusions are applied dynamically and in real time, at the moment a respondent tries to enter a target group. This is based on their historical participation across the selected projects and target groups.

What is the default exclusion period?

The default exclusion period for completes is 90 days.
