The selected industry defines the category the campaign is assigned to for the benchmarks reported in IM. This also defines some of the default language used in the Baseline Questions (brand/place/institution, used/owned/purchased etc.) which are used for calculating propensity.
All industries will be available in the country languages supported in Impact Measurement.
The following are the available industries and must be selected during Set Up:
Academia and Education—Institutions concerned with the pursuit of research, learning, and/or scholarship.
Advocacy—Institutions or brands concerned with public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy.
Alcohol*—Brands featuring beverages containing alcohol including wine, beer, spirits, and other drinks.
Automotive—Includes all automotive-related categories such as the sale/purchase of vehicles, as well as their parts and maintenance.
B2B—Institutions or brands that provide an exchange of products, services, or information between businesses.
Cannabis*—Brands featuring consumption, endorsement, planting/growing, or medical use of cannabis-derived products.
Consumer Electronics—Brands that produce electronic devices for personal use as well as computing hardware, prepackaged software, network systems, and computer and data processing services.
Consumer Packaged Goods—Brands featuring items used daily by average consumers that require routine replacement or replenishment, such as food and beverage products, household products, packaged goods, tobacco, personal care products, toiletries, and cosmetic products.
Fashion and Beauty—Brands relating to styles of dress or personal products for skin and hair care, fragrances, beauty appliances, cosmetics, and salon services.
Financial Services—Institutions used for services involving the investment, lending, and management of money and assets.
Food and Beverage—Brands relating to any edible or drinkable products which people commonly consume.
Gambling and Betting—Brands, places, or institutions that encourage or enable gambling by purchasing a ticket or wagering money. Examples include lottery, online poker, and sports betting.
Health and Wellness—Brands that focus on physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, environmental, and occupational well-being.
Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals—Institutions or brands concerned with medical care and services or the use and distribution of medicinal drugs. Examples include pharmaceutical products, doctors, and hospitals.
Home and Garden—Brands featuring home improvement, renovation, remodeling or tending, and cultivating a garden.
Insurance—Brands or institutions which provide a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return for payment of a premium.
Internet Services—Brands whose technology provides a service or expertise rather than a manufactured product.
Media and Entertainment—Brands and institutions primarily engaged in radio and television broadcasting and publishing as well as various forms of entertainment and its producers. Examples include amusement and recreation, box office, film, music, sports, OTT video platforms, and video games.
Other—Any institution, place, or brand that does not fit into any of the specific categories provided.
Political—Institutions relating to candidacy for the government or the public affairs of a country.
Quick Service Restaurant—A restaurant that is focused on providing customers with food as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Retail—Brands that sell goods to the public in relatively small quantities for use or consumption rather than for resale. Includes mail order/catalog, restaurants/fast food, drugstores, retail stores, cosmetics stores, and merchants of apparel, toys, pet food/supplies, appliances, jewelry, and general merchandise.
Real Estate—Institutions used for services involving the sale, rental or other use of residential, commercial, or industrial properties.
Professional Services—Institutions, brands, or individuals whose core output is a service or expertise rather than a manufactured product.
Telecom—Brands or institutions representing networks such as telephone landlines, mobile networks, cable TV networks, or the internet.
Travel and Tourism—Brands, places, or institutions that relate to traveling to another environment or place, for purposes related to business or leisure. Examples include airlines, car rentals, hotels and resorts, cruises, and destination marketing organizations.
