Cint Exchange now checks the minimum age in an age condition against the legal minimum age for the country in which you are fielding. Previously, Cint Exchange applied a single minimum of 13 to the AGE profile in every country. For example, the legal minimum in Guatemala is 21. #### Why was this introduced? Each country sets its own legal minimum age for survey participation, and in most countries that minimum is higher than 13. Buyers are now held to the minimum age for the country they are fielding in, both when they write the age condition and again if they change the country. This means that what Cint Exchange tells you upfront matches what it enforces. #### Where does the minimum age restrictions come from? Global Profile Management (GPM, formerly GPI) publishes a legally verified minimum age for each country, and it maintains this data against legal review. Cint Exchange reads the minimum directly from GPM. It does not keep country-specific age rules of its own, so there is a single source for this information. #### Which countries are covered? GPM publishes a minimum age for 138 countries. If there is no published rule for the country and language you are fielding in, Cint Exchange applies a default range of 13 to 99. #### Does the maximum age change? No. GPM publishes a maximum of 99 in all 138 countries, which is the same maximum that Cint Exchange applied before. The maximum is now read from the same source as the minimum. #### Does this apply to legacy Marketplace? No. This change applies to Cint Exchange only. Marketplace continues to use its own age rules. --- ### Using minimum age validation #### What happens if I enter a minimum age below the country minimum? The minimum age field in the AGE range condition rejects the value and displays an error that shows the minimum for the country, for example "Min age must be 16 or older." The maximum age field uses the maximum published for the country. #### Which questions does this apply to? Only the AGE profile. Other range questions, including the "kids" standard question, keep their existing ranges. #### What happens if I change the country of a draft? Cint Exchange checks the age condition against the minimum for the new country. If the minimum age in your condition is below the new country minimum, the profile is kept and flagged. It is not rewritten or removed, so your quota structure is preserved. A banner at the top of the target group states that the age range is invalid for the country and gives the minimum age. The banner includes an **Update Age** button. The draft cannot be saved or launched until the age condition is corrected. The country can only be changed while a target group is in draft. #### How do I fix a draft that is flagged after a country change? Select **Update Age** in the banner and correct the age condition so that the minimum age meets the country minimum shown. Once the age condition is valid, you can save and launch the draft. #### What happens when I edit an age condition on a live target group? The current rule applies. Cint Exchange blocks values below the country minimum and shows the same error as in draft. The rule applies everywhere that you can edit the condition, including the profiling library, the interlock sheet, and Manage. #### What happens to target groups that launched before October 2, 2026? They are not affected. A target group launched under the previous rule keeps running and keeps collecting completes, and Cint Exchange does not re-validate or migrate it. The new validation applies only when an age condition is created or modified, so if you edit the age condition on one of these target groups, the new minimum age validation applies. #### Why is the minimum for my country different from what I expected? The minimum comes from the legally verified data that GPM publishes for the country, and Cint Exchange does not override this. #### Is the error message available in languages other than English? At launch, the message is available in English only. Other languages will follow. --- ### API and technical questions #### Does minimum age validation apply to the API and MCP? Yes. The API and MCP apply the same rule as the UI. #### Can I see the allowed age range before I submit a request? Yes. The `questions-translation` endpoint now includes an optional `validation` object for each question and locale, so you can read the allowed range in the response that you already fetch. This addition does not change any existing fields. If there is no published rule for a locale, the `validation` object is not included. #### Do I need to change my integration? No new endpoints were added. You do not need to change any call, version, or field that you already use. However, a request that sets a minimum age below the country minimum will now be rejected, so please make sure that your integration submits compliant values.
