Our native and third-party security tools safeguard the Lucid Marketplace environment and help protect buyers and sellers through the reduction of fraudulent activity. These best practices are required for buyers that wish to exercise reconciliation rights.

Survey Protection - Lucid's Survey Protection tracks and identifies invalid traffic on your surveys. This will check for any potential fraudulent respondents in real time. This is automatically enabled for all surveys in the Marketplace and you won’t need to make any updates to your security settings.
Link Security - There are two best practice measures for protecting studies from respondent link manipulation and ensuring that completes are correctly counted. For either solution, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for assistance in implementation.
For buyers with their own survey platform and development resources, we recommend using our Secure Client Callback service. In this case, the survey platform sends a secure postback message to the Lucid Marketplace when a respondent completes a survey.
For all other buyers, we recommend using a middleware solution we've created, which hashes the redirect from your survey back to the Lucid Marketplace. This solution can be implemented without any development work and simply requires using the redirects provided by your CSM and turning on encryption settings within the Lucid Marketplace.
Unique IP Address - Unique IP Address prevents duplicate respondents by ensuring that the IP address for the respondent is unique for the study as well as studies within the survey group (if applicable).
Unique PID - Unique PID prevents respondents from attempting a study more than once using a supplier-provided Panelist ID. If appropriate, this also applies to survey groups.
Both unique IP and PID work in conjunction with the re-entry configurations also located on the survey’s Security tab.
Post Security LOI - Post Security LOI is designed to prevent respondents from completing a survey much faster than the expected LOI. This is expressed as a percentage of the Expected LOI input on the Details page. This threshold percentage is set at an account level and applies to all projects within an account. The ideal setting range is between 10 and 30% depending on the variability of your LOIs and your desired threshold for survey length.
